Everything in the POSTEREVER shop started the same way: an original film-era photograph, found in the archive and rebuilt frame by frame. What is on the site is only part of what we can reach.
So if the one you want isn't here, ask.
Asking costs nothing — and neither does the restoration. If we find your piece in the archive, it goes up as a normal print and you pay our usual price for the size and material you choose.
Tell us who you're looking for
A specific gig. A specific film still. A photograph of an artist you have seen once and never been able to find again. Send whatever you have — a screenshot, a blurry phone shot of a magazine page, a description, even just a year and a venue — and we will go looking in the archive for the original.
If we find it and the source is good enough to restore properly, we will show you what it can look like before you commit to anything.
How it works
- 1. Send the reference. Any quality. We only need to know what you are after.
- 2. We search the archive. If there is an original worth restoring, we will tell you. If there isn't, we will tell you that too — we would rather say no than sell you something soft.
- 3. We restore it. Rebuilt by hand for true film-era clarity. Scratches and fading out, the grain of the original negative left where it belongs. Black & white or color, your call.
- 4. You choose the format. Printed to order on premium poster paper, gallery canvas, matte metal or glossy acrylic — framed or unframed, in the size that fits your wall, at our usual shop prices. Free shipping.
What it costs
Nothing to ask, and nothing for the restoration. There is no search fee and no restoration fee on an archive request. If we find what you are after and the original restores well, it is added to the shop and you simply pay the standard price for the print you choose.
That is not a favor — it is how the archive is built. Every piece here was restored by hand before it went on sale, and once yours is done, other collectors can hang it too.
What about your own photographs?
We can do those as well, though they work a little differently. A restoration of your own photo is made for you alone rather than joining the archive, so it is a piece of paid work: from $49 per photo, with a fixed price and a realistic turnaround agreed before anything begins.
We take on a handful of these at a time alongside archive work, so do send it over and we will have a proper look. If the source is too far gone to do justice to, we will say so rather than take your money for a soft result.

Send the reference and tell us roughly what you would like — restored as-is, colorized, or cleaned up and enlarged for the wall.
And you do not have to be ready to buy. Tell us the artist, the film or the era you would like to see in the archive — requests are how we decide what to look for next, and when several collectors ask for the same name, that is usually what gets restored first.
